June 8, 2026
Dear Holmdel Township School Community,

I hope this finds you well. The final stretch of the 2025–2026 school year is now upon us. On Friday evening, our seniors enjoyed a wonderful celebration at the Senior Prom, held at Jacques Reception Center in Middletown. Thank you to our Class Advisors, as well as the many staff members, administrators, faculty, and law enforcement partners who volunteered their time to chaperone the event and help ensure a safe and memorable evening for our students.

This Wednesday, our seniors and their families will gather at Holmdel High School for our annual Senior Breakfast and Decision Day celebration. This special tradition provides students with the opportunity to proudly showcase their plans for life after graduation, whether that path leads to a four-year university, community college, trade school, the workforce, military service, or a service academy.

As we approach the conclusion of the school year, please continue to monitor district and school communications for important updates regarding end-of-year activities, summer information, and preparations for the year ahead.

Along those lines, and as previously shared, you will find, in the section below, a link to our ParentSquare End-of-Year Survey. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue refining our use of this platform and strive to make district communications as effective, efficient, and accessible as possible for our parents and guardians.

Parent Square Survey

Over the past school year, Holmdel Township School District has used ParentSquare as our primary communication platform to help families stay informed and connected. As we complete our first full year with the platform, we would like to hear about your experience. Your feedback is important in helping us understand what is working well, what challenges families may have encountered, and where we can improve.
Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey.

HHS Alum Siena Rampulla Launches Safety Platform for College Students

As Holmdel students prepare for their next steps in education, we are proud to highlight an innovative safety platform created by one of our own.

Developed by Holmdel High School graduate Siena Rampulla, PUSH! by Pulla helps students stay connected to their trusted support networks while away at college. With the push of a button, users can quickly share their location and, when needed, activate video and audio recording to provide real-time information in situations where assistance may be required.

For many families, the transition to college brings both excitement and the challenge of reduced day-to-day contact. PUSH! was designed to help bridge that gap, offering an added layer of connection, awareness, and peace of mind for students and parents alike.

Safety professionals note that in emergencies, timely access to location, video, and audio data can significantly assist responders in understanding situations and acting quickly. While these features are intended for rare use, they contribute to greater preparedness and confidence.

Siena, a former Hornet Report anchor, holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Journalism and an MBA in Entrepreneurship. Her background in communications, human behavior, and innovation, along with her service as a trained SERV volunteer, shaped her vision for a tool that extends the sense of community and security students experience in Holmdel.

Holmdel has long been associated with innovation, from Bell Labs to the accomplishments of its students and alumni. PUSH! is another example of that spirit in action, ideas developed here making a broader impact beyond our community.

Siena will be available on College Signing Day, June 10, to share information about the platform. In addition, the district will host an informational session for parents and students at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, June 10, to demo its features and uses as part of a broader personal safety plan.

We are proud to celebrate our graduates and especially those who use their talents and entrepreneurial spirit to create solutions that support students and families.

Exploring, Innovating, Achieving: Science Highlights from Holmdel

Congratulations to the Particle Physics Team who represented Holmdel High School and the Physics Club so well in the Beamline For Schools Competition. In this prestigious international Physics competition, students are tasked with proposing an experiment that they want to perform at the beamline of a particle accelerator. The proposals are then evaluated by an expert panel, and Holmdel’s team placed in the top 50 teams in this year’s competition. This is an incredible accomplishment given that this is an international competition with 4,501 students contributing a record high 712 proposals representing 89 countries. We are tremendously proud of this talented team for their impressive showing, and we want to express our deepest gratitude to the HFEE for funding the particle detector that made this unique experience possible.
Bayshore Hospital hosted Ms. Davis, Ms. Michaud, and the families and students enrolled in Holmdel High School’s Patient Care Tech course for a celebratory event this week, as the students finished up their mentorships with Bayshore Hospital Staff. 2026 was the first year that the PCT students had the opportunity to work directly with hospital mentors, participating in monthly shadowing opportunities which provided the students with an unparalleled opportunity to gain practical experience in a clinical setting before they embark on furthering their careers in college. We are grateful for this community partnership and excited for what lies ahead for our students. Congratulations again to Ms. Michaud, Ms. Davis, and all of our students for all of their success this year!

Congratulations are also in order for Keoni Baheti, who placed second in the Reduce Single Use Video PSA content through NJ Clean Communities. His award-winning video, which focuses on critical environmental advocacy, can be found here. We are so incredibly proud of Keoni and the important message that he is spreading as a dedicated steward for sustainability and the protection of our Earth! His commitment to environmental awareness is a great example for our entire school community.
Finally, our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students showcased their scientific spirit in a tremendous display of passion projects at Indian Hill’s science fairs last week. Families, peers, and teachers were able to view student projects covering a wide range of fascinating topics, from motion, light and sound to soil samples, protecting our shorelines from erosion, and everything in between. The student excitement for their projects and ability to explain their work was truly exceptional. Notably this year, we had two projects highlighting local history: one on Bell Labs and the other on the Horn Antenna. In an amazing feat, 5th grader Sofia Saleh was able to create a working replica of the Horn Antenna that actually allowed her to receive a recognizable signal! Big things are ahead for our young scientists — their work was truly out of this world.

HHS Boys Tennis Completes Strong Season

The Holmdel Boys Tennis team capped an outstanding 2026 season with an 18–4 overall record and a perfect 10–0 mark in the Colonial Division, securing a division championship and continuing the program’s strong tradition of success.

At the Monmouth County Tournament, Holmdel captured 1st place overall as a team. Individual highlights included Koji Jiang earning 2nd place at first singles, Keshavan Mollis winning 1st place at second singles, Sean Diaz and Niam Shah finishing 2nd at first doubles, Aaryan Desai and Divyansh Kapoor placing 2nd at second doubles, and Om Antala and Terry Liang earning 3rd place at third doubles.

In the NJSIAA State Individual Tournament, Koji Jiang, Keshavan Mollis, and the first doubles team of Sean Diaz and Niam Shah all qualified based on strong regular-season play. Each advanced to the second round after winning their opening matches.

The team advanced to the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 2 sectional final, held at the Holmdel Swim and Tennis Club, where they ultimately fell in a heartbreaking match against Hopewell Valley. Despite the difficult finish, the Hornets’ season was defined by excellence, depth, and determination from start to finish.

Honoring a Holmdel Legend: Bob Roggy's Legacy Lives On

A commemorative sign honoring Holmdel High School alumnus Bob Roggy has been installed at the school’s throwing practice field, formally recognizing his legacy as one of the nation’s premier Javelin throwers and celebrating his lasting connection to the Holmdel community.

The installation was made possible through a thoughtful collaboration between the Roggy family and Holmdel High School Principal Dr. Herits. Working closely together, they ensured the commemorative signage appropriately honors Roggy’s achievements and inspires current and future student-athletes. The district’s Buildings and Grounds Department played a key role in bringing the project to life, handling site preparation and installation with care and precision.

The finished display now stands as a lasting tribute to excellence, dedication, and Holmdel pride.

Water Safety Reminder

As families head into the summer, the County has shared this important water safety public service announcement with school districts across the region. Whether at the pool, the beach, or even around the home, drowning can happen quickly and quietly.

We encourage all parents and caregivers to take a moment to review these simple but potentially life-saving tips, including the importance of active supervision, early swim instruction, and understanding that flotation devices are not a substitute for adult attention.

A few seconds can make all the difference—please take a moment to read and share this important reminder with your family.
